Core race standards

This page gives drivers, teams, and crew a clear overview of the standards expected throughout the event weekend. Use it as a quick-reference guide before arrival and during prep.

Vehicle eligibility

All entries must compete in approved Crown Victoria-style platforms and meet event-specific class requirements, safety standards, and inspection expectations before taking the track.

Safety equipment

Drivers are responsible for wearing required personal safety gear and presenting cars with properly installed safety components, secure mounting, and track-ready condition.

Conduct and sportsmanship

Respect officials, competitors, and facility staff at all times. Unsportsmanlike conduct, reckless behavior, or failure to follow race control instructions may result in penalties or removal.

Tech and enforcement

Pre-race, post-race, and random inspections may be used throughout the weekend. Officials retain the authority to interpret, inspect, and enforce rules in the interest of fair competition.

Rules FAQ

Quick answers to common driver and team questions. Always watch for official updates, supplemental bulletins, and race-day instructions from Crown Vic Royale officials.

Will every car be inspected?

Yes. All cars will undergo pre-race safety inspection. Cars will also be inspected during the course of the weekend including post-qualifying, post-heat races, post alphabet mains, post-last chance qualifiers and post-non-qualifiers race as well as a more thorough inspection following the conclusion of main event.

What happens if a rule is unclear?

Ask event officials before going on track. Official interpretations made by race control or tech staff govern the event and should be followed immediately.

What happens if something on my car is outside the rules, but itโ€™s not a performance advantage?

Donโ€™t assume that we wonโ€™t work with you on something small that doesnโ€™t matter in the grand scheme of things. Every track across the country has different rules and have allowed some small things. We will work with you on anything that isnโ€™t a performance advantage. Hit us up on the Contact Page and let us work with you ahead of the event as we can.

Where do I go with driver questions?

Start with the Driver Info page, then use the Contact page if you need clarification before race weekend.
